What a website can see without asking
Most of this needs no login, download, or permission prompt. Some of it travels with every request; the rest can be collected by a page's scripts. NetInfo just makes it legible.
IP & ASN
Your public address is sent with every request, and it maps to a network operator — typically your ISP, or an employer, host, or VPN provider.
Location & timezone
Approximate city, region and timezone, inferred from your IP with GeoIP databases. Precision varies: finer on some fixed lines, coarse on mobile networks, and misleading behind a VPN or proxy.
Browser & device fingerprint
Screen size, fonts, hardware details, and canvas rendering — signals a script can collect and combine into a signature that helps trackers recognise your browser across sites.
DNS resolver
Sites don't see this by default, but a test page can trigger unique lookups to find out which resolver handles them. A resolver outside your VPN can hint at your real ISP or region.
TLS & HTTP stack
Protocol version and cipher choices that can hint at automation tools, outdated clients, or an unusual proxy in front of you.
WebRTC path
A separate connection channel that, in some browser and VPN setups, can reveal your real IP even when other signals say you're masked.
Bot & fraud signals
Trust scores that sites and CDNs may use to decide how to treat you — sometimes flagging normal connections as suspicious for reasons you never see.

Much of this is configuration, not a product you buy: choosing a resolver, disabling WebRTC when you don't need it, checking what a fingerprint reveals. You just need to see it first.

Nothing stored unless you share
iCloudflare may still log your IP and approximate location for its own operational metrics, separately from anything NetInfo stores. A few checks (DNS test, speed test, IP lookups) also contact the public services listed under Credits.Your IP and approximate location come from Cloudflare's edge, because any server you connect to can see them. Browser and device signals are read on your own device. NetInfo keeps no copy of your report unless you choose "Share Report" — and that copy deletes itself after 3 days.
No account, no cookies
Nothing to sign up for and nothing to opt out of later. NetInfo itself sets no tracking cookies — the report just runs and shows you what it finds.
Never sold, never profiled
iThis is written into the Terms you accept on your first visit to the dashboard. The public services it contacts to work (IP checks, DNS test, map tiles, CDNs) follow their own privacy policies.No ads, no third-party analytics, no visitor profiles. We don't sell personal information, and there's no user database to leak — the only thing we ever store is a report you chose to share.
